Yes or No are you a commited naturalist? You said I'm avoiding the hard questions. Does naturalism answer ALL the hard questions?
i've recently been thinking about our culture and how christianity in our western culture has failed to keep up with advancements in science.
) churches have let reason sink into the intellectual closet of fundamentalism.
"feel good" churches seem to be the norm today.

Let's just say I'm with Greg Bahnsen and Van Til on this one. This board has proven his point, neutrality is a myth.

This is why I'm a Presuppositionalist and not an Evidentialist.

Well cofty, I guess that depends on your perspective. Tell us why you "left the faith" again.

However I think there is a big gap in knowing reasons why. Yes, belief is glorious. But it should also be reasonable.
I don't want to discourage you or anything, but, How do you square that up with 1Cor 1:21-23? It seems to me Paul clearly saw that Christ is a stumling block and foolishness. Should we trade the Gospel for wisdom and signs? I guess I'm trying to say (and what Paul stated), I don't know why (and will probably never know) why God would love me. I don't think that sort of thing is "reasonable", at least not on this side of glory. In fact God called it "foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe". If it where reasonable men would come to know God on there own and then they would boast about it and how smart they are.

Do you think most Christians know who they are in Christ?

“Modern Christianity” is the product of being “purpose driven” instead of being Spirit moved, and the idea was around long before Rick Warren. Being “purpose driven” is a humanist attempt at pleasing/impressing one’s self and others with the new morals we have adopted, instead of the grace of God, as if morality is God’s goal for humanity. It has very little to do with Glorifying God. It’s more about getting glory for the creature than The Creator. It’s about “feeling blessed”, instead of realizing the blessings Christ has given us (Eph 1:3). Where is our faith and what is it in? Most are more worried about feeling something than believing, and as we’ve seen, that’s not the same thing.
Sure science and reason have their place and we should stay informed, but I’ve got to say that the Gospel is not “reasonable”, it is glorious.
While I’ll agree that “the church is doctrinally weak today, it’s just a symptom of a larger problem.
since leaving the wt, i have spoted so many false teachers from osteen to creflo dollar, but there is some great men of god who speak truth, who arnt afraid to proclaim the gospel, and who dont cater to tickling mens ears my three favorite are paul washer, steve lawson and john piper.

Like I said, let your Jesus return and we will teach him about Peace instead of his ambition to wipe out the human race.
This is another one of your lies of course. That was never his "ambition". He died to save humans.
I’d like to ask you, How would you teach him peace, when YOU are at war with everything he represents? Will you stop warring with God? You seem very proud of your “battles” and “victories”. It appears to me that you want to kill him in every post you direct at me. Are you like the Muslim who won’t surrender until your enemy (The Christ) is vanquished? He surrendered himself to men when he came to earth, and men like you killed him. Why are you trying to kill him again?
had this long talk with hubby about the fact that if you allow your child to die because of the blood issue you are no different then a murderer.
he said then jehovah is a murderer because he allowed his son to die.
he knew what was going to happen and allowed it when he could have stopped it..... hmmmm, not sure how to wrap my brain around that.
No Yahweh is not a murderer. It is not within God’s nature to murder, life and death are his to control. You could say that it’s his job to start and end every life.
Only man can murder.

Dear, Mouthy
I know, I'm supposed to love him with the love of Christ. But,... do I have to kiss him too?
